The Relevation to Johannes
3-2	So wake up, and strengthen what you still have before it dies completely. For I find that what you have done is not yet perfect in the sight of my God.
3-3	Remember, then, what you were taught and what you heard; obey it and turn from your sins. If you do not wake up, I will come upon you like a thief, and you will not even know the time when I will come.
3-4	But a few of you there in Sardis have kept your clothes clean. You will walk with me, clothed in white, because you are worthy to do so.
3-15	I know what you have done; I know that you are neither cold nor hot. How I wish you were either one or the other!
3-17	You say, 'I am rich and well off; I have all I need.' But you do not know how miserable and pitiful you are! You are poor, naked and blind.
3-18	I advise you, then, to buy gold from me, pure gold, in order to be rich. Buy also white clothing to dress yourself and cover up your shameful nakedness. Buy also some ointment to put on your eyes, so that you may see.
3-19	I rebuke and punish all whom I love. Be in earnest, then, and turn from your sins.
3-20	Listen! I stand at the door and knock; If any hear my voice and open the door, I will come into their house and eat with them, and they will eat with me.

3-2	目をさましなさい。そして死にかけているほかの人たちを力づけなさい。わたしは、あなたの行いが、私の神の御前に全うされたとは見ていない。
3-3	だから、あなたがどのように受け、また聞いたのかを思い出しなさい。それを堅く守り、また悔い改めなさい。もし、目をさまさなければ、私は盗人のように来る。あなたは、わたしがいつあなたのところに来るか、決してわからない。
3-4	しかし、サルデスには、その衣を汚さなかった者が幾人がいる。彼らは白い衣を着て、わたしともに歩む。彼らはそれにふさわしい者だからである。
3-15	わたしは、あなたの行いを知っている。あなたは、冷たくもなく、熱くもない。わたしはむしろ、あなたが冷たいか、熱いかであってほしい。
3-17	あなたは、自分は富んでいる、豊かになった、乏しいものは何もないと言って、実は自分がみじめで、哀れで、貧しくて、盲目で、裸の者であることを知らない。
3-18	わたしはあなたに忠告する。豊かな者となるために、火で精練された金をわたしから買いなさい。また、あなたの裸の恥をあらわさないために着る白い衣を買いなさい。また、目がみえるようになるため、目に塗る目薬を買いなさい。
3-19	わたしは、愛する者をしかったり、懲らしめたりする。だから、熱心になって、悔い改めなさい。
3-20	見よ。わたしは、戸の外に立ってたたく。だれでも、わたしの声を聞いて戸をあけるなら、わたしは、彼のところにはいって、彼とともに食事をし、彼もわたしとともに食事をする。
