*Human Network of modern business world [020714-18]
Recently, I had some opportunities to talk with researchers of business management. What I was surprised was they are not so eager to create human network so much. It may be because unnecessary human relationship disturbs business accomplishments according to decided objects. However, as long as the division of labor is the most important element of civilized economy, human network is essential for our society. I guess the modern business world depends on stiff relationships so much that it oft exclude indefinite relationship.
During the time when the social change is not so hard, this attitude works well. The most important point to accomplish decided business is to exclude uncertain elements (impurity) as possible. Business can be assessed by the minus points system. However, when we are confronted with uncertain social change, it is impossible to rely on the plans and human relationships that is decided previously. To begin with, it is hard to expect what will be and to plan something tightly according to what you expect. In this case, we need more flexible plans and human relationships.
However, for the people who belong to social organizations it may be difficult to connect others freely, because they sometimes represent the whole of their organizations. This is the reason why free individual people should be mediations among social organizations. Human networks work not always well. Often it causes troubles. Therefore, we need some individuals as switch of human relation.
Comparing with football game, business is a game to complete objects throwing the work among people. There are many obstacles to disturb it and enemies mark our members. We cannot throw the work to them. It is necessary to locate good position or to find available supporters who located good position. In this case, the way to complete the object may not be one. The result should be estimated by merit system.
Any way, the trust is the most important element for human relationships.
And individuals are the key to it, even in social organizations. If you
are aware of this fact, it will be easy for you to find effective human
network.
*The Wonder of linguistic Pronunciation [020722-26]
Recently, I had some chances to use English and strange experiences about languages. During English conversation, I sometimes felt surrounding Japanese conversation as if it was foreigner language. I think it is because my ears took the frame to recognize English.
We recognize outer world according to our own frame. In the case of languages, there are various ways to hear them according to the characteristic of their own pronunciation. The units accompanied by vowels mark Japanese pronunciation. On the other hand, the consonants that are stressed in words mark English pronunciation. Due to this difference, English leaning is difficult for Japanese people.
The two elements of pronunciation, vowels and consonants, represent opposite side of pronunciation. Vowels represent the continuous side of human voice. We can maintain the sound of vowels during breathing out. On the other hand, we can vocalize the consonants only at the moments. Consonants represent the not continuous side of human voice.
In the case of Japanese, the units composed of a consonant and a vowel, or a vowel only, construct Japanese words, as concrete blocks build houses. Therefore, we can find definite elements of sound in Japanese words. However, it is difficult to find such unites in English words. They have their own continuity leaded by consonants. In the case of English, the emphasized consonants and the strong- weak waves of vocalization that are peculiar to each word decide the figure of words.
The pronunciation has its own system as well as grammar. We cannot
enter the world of language without stable points of view to recognize
it.

At last, The World Cup was over with the victory of Brazil. There are many surprises such as defeat of France and Argentina, but on the other side, we could find remarkable progress of Korea and Japan.
About ten years ago, succor was not so popular sport in Japan. Although many boys played succor, it was not so popular as pro-sport. However, with the enthusiasm of people who wanted to firmly establish it as the sport relating with local region, Japan league was found. Fortunately, in those days, an animation (cartoon) whose name is Captain Tsubasa was very popular among young boys. It is the animation to deal with succor and Tsubasa is the name of its hero. Some of succor boys who watched this animation became pro-succor player now. You can see some images of this animation in following URLs. This World Cup is the result of many efforts from more than ten years ago.

On the other hand, it gave many impacts to Japanese society not only in sport. Yesterday, I went to Big Eye that is succor stadium in Oita. As I told former mail, there are three games of World Cup were hold also in Oita. Originally, the area around it was rural, and we could find large rice fields. However, now, a large sport park with amusement institution is being built and there is big shopping mall beside the stadium. Oita city have become core city in Oita prefecture and attracts many shoppers around here. But I doubt whether the big succor stadium bring us enough benefit. Rather, it may be a burden for the cost of construction and maintenance.
The World Cup Korea Japan was very worthwhile for our future. At least,
Japanese people could get the hope to the future and new relationship with
Korea. But, some huge institution built for it may be burden for future
generation. We can find the hope and anxiety crossing in this World Cup.
