The front part of the house with
the blue-colored windows is our class room. And our
instructor, Masaki Seike lives with his family in the
building behind the classroom. This is a very small,
neighborhood-style English school.

OUR
NEIGHBOR-HOOD
There are many interesting places
to visit near our neighborhood. Iyo-Kasuri Kaikan is probably the one we insist you to
visit. This is a museum for Iyo-Kasuri, the splashed pattern cloth of
Iyo is a very special product of Matsuyama, as
one of the three major kasuri products, along with
Kurume and Bizen-kasuri. It was first woven by a woman named
Kana Kagiya over 190 years ago using a loom developed
by Shisuke
Kikuya. The kasuri cloth,
dyed in indigo, instill a simple and quiet feeling and is
used not only for kimono, but also for dresses, hats, and
neckties.
