What We Face in the Islands A Word from Our Ancestors

CHIHARU TOSHINARI

I am a third-year high school student in Nakajima. There are 7 people in my family; parents, younger brother, grand parents, great grand mother and I. We all live in Nakajima together. I was grown up in a rural community with the beautiful nature of our town. My favorite sport is tennis, but I don't play very well. And my hobby is playing the piano. I practiced playing the piano from 4 to 16 years old.
Now I am interested in participating the international volunteer work in the future. I hope I can help people who suffer from hunger and to preserve the nature on the earth.

I appreciated GSN organization and my teacher, Mr. Masaki Seike, to give me this chance because through this project, I learned a lot about my father and my town.
