They have been sending many young Japanese farmers overseas in one, or two years programs. Our student, Chiharu Toshinari's father was a trainee and he learned his English and the knowledge of agriculture in the States. We were also introduced to many of his colleagues, and Chiharu was inspired to become an international volunteer to help people in need in the future.
